Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on local and regional routes within the greater Los Angeles area.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading at various customer locations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
