Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and compliance records
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Collaborate with dispatch for efficient route planning
- Represent Heartland Transport with professionalism at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- 2+ years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with Kansas City metro area
