Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently throughout the Raleigh metro area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring all freight is secured properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delivery updates, and traffic conditions.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized to maintain a professional image.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
