Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) for local/regional routes
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and resolve on-route issues
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal routing and real-time tracking
- Complete electronic logging and documentation requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience with verifiable references
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
