Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and route updates
- Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina and Southeastern US routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must pass background check and have reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overnight/weekend shifts as needed
