Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in a safe, timely, and legally compliant manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DMV-511) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Practice defensive driving techniques and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and DOT number.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic regulations.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and change handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
