Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) within the Virginia Beach metro area
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks and vehicle inspection reports
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques and documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients for timely deliveries and pickups
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Complete all required paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Must be 21+ years old with proof of US citizenship or legal residency
