Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across the Dallas region
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Deliver freight on time while adhering to strict safety protocols and DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper material handling techniques
- Document all delivery exceptions and maintain route optimization
- Participate in continuous safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong understanding of Dallas/Fort Worth traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
