Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local/regional deliveries within Dallas and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling during transit
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety compliance
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Reliable box truck (24-26ft) in good mechanical condition
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Smartphone with reliable internet access for dispatch apps
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Basic familiarity with Dallas metro roadways
