Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for safe and timely delivery of freight
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Document delivery logs and maintain accurate paperwork
- Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license (VA state)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat materials (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of Virginia Beach metro area
