Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within Charlotte metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for high-value shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize time efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and handle inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery issues and ensure on-time performance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent commercial vehicle operation
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly and maneuver in tight spaces
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte area roads and navigation systems
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
