Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while adjusting for weather and traffic conditions
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and required documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience or recent CDL graduate
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Strong knowledge of HOS regulations and safety compliance
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with Phoenix metro area
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for regional routes including overnight stays
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
