Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transport
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle secure loading/unloading procedures at client facilities
- Communicate delivery status and resolve transit issues proactively
- Perform basic vehicle troubleshooting and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) operation
- Knowledge of Charlotte area highways and delivery zones
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Twic card preferred but not required
