Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, document vehicle conditions, and report maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic records, and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and secure shipments according to safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and on-time deliveries
- Adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, and route adjustments while prioritizing safety
- Participate in continuous safety training and company safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience (OTR or regional preferred)
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all transportation regulations
- Flexibility for irregular schedules, overnight stays, and regional travel
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Basic math skills for weight distribution and cargo documentation
