Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in the San Jose area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety guidelines, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license (Clean driving record required).
- Current DOT medical card and valid DOT number.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local San Jose routes and geography.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work flexible shifts.
