Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or emergencies.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
