Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations
- Transport goods to NYC metro area destinations including warehouses, distribution centers, and client sites
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while adhering to delivery time windows
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Document delivery exceptions and resolve minor on-site issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery restrictions
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and documentation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and customer service orientation
