Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated Texas routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery documentation, including bills of lading and proof-of-delivery forms
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route changes and delivery status
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally in client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Knowledge of Texas highway systems and weather-related driving protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical loading tasks
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
