Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A or B commercial vehicles for local/regional routes
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload shipments with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients
- Document delivery confirmations and handle route exceptions
- Maintain clean driving record and follow all DC traffic regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- DOT medical certification and clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of DC metro area and surrounding states
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
