Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while prioritizing safety
- Complete required paperwork including delivery receipts and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in California
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento metro area and California highway systems
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
