Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-downs and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs using electronic logging devices (ELD) and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding route changes and delivery schedules.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) must be in possession.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift and handle freight weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
