Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently along designated routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and DOT standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling, securement, and documentation of all freight.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including mileage, delivery receipts, and vehicle condition reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and drug screen on file.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or DUIs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical duties as required by the job description.
- Willingness to pass a background check.
