Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in and around the Austin metropolitan area.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly according to safety standards.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation (DOT compliant).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and maintain a professional appearance while representing the company.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional road networks in Central Texas.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
