Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant) and DOT physical examination on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR check required; no major violations).
- Strong knowledge of local and regional road networks in New Mexico and surrounding areas.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
