Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes and maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Ensure secure cargo loading/unloading and verify delivery accuracy
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Maintain clean driving record and complete required training certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning software
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
