Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across the Southwest
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery timelines
- Utilize advanced GPS technology for efficient route planning and navigation
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Document and report all transportation incidents or mechanical issues promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team for optimal load scheduling and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong navigation skills and ability to operate in diverse weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends as needed
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
