Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, vans, or straight trucks) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secure and properly documented.
- Maintain daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time, including bills of lading and logs.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (hazmat tanker experience preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
