Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) across designated routes in Texas and surrounding states
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous logs, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Efficiently manage delivery schedules while ensuring on-time performance and customer satisfaction
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety and functionality
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and resolve logistical challenges
- Maintain clean driving record and uphold Swift's zero-tolerance safety standards
- Represent Swift professionally in all customer interactions and at delivery sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation technology
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and regional regulations
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight and weekend shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
