Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport freight safely and efficiently throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution is balanced.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure a 100% accident-free record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverâs License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Current Medical Examinerâs Certificate (DOT Physical) is mandatory.
- Clear driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle handling, including backing and maneuvering.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and electronic paperwork.
