Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading interactions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Must possess a clean driving record and be insurable under company policy.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing minor vehicle maintenance checks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
