Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations in Houston and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required documentation at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, resolving any issues professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols while driving.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required (Hazmat endorsement is a plus).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to navigate using GPS and maps.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
