Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated delivery points in Detroit and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients and resolving delivery issues as they arise.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
