The Role:
As a CDL Delivery Driver for Denver Freight Solutions, you will be the face of our brand. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight to various locations within the Denver metro area and surrounding regions. We value accuracy, punctuality, and professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight to designated customer locations in Denver and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and adhere to all DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and traffic laws.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling billing inquiries and maintaining a positive company image.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current DOT Medical Card and Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and cargo securement techniques.
- Basic computer skills for logging mileage and reporting delivery statuses.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages up to 50 lbs independently.
