Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a Class A commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and document any defects or damage.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Manage all necessary delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, representing our company professionally at every stop.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold our high safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and support staff regarding traffic conditions, delays, and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of North Carolina.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to lift and handle freight packages weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
