Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver goods to customers in the Atlanta metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and delivery records in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Interact professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company speed limits, and safe driving practices at all times.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) and ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, or late nights.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.
