Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to deliver freight safely and on schedule
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to maximize delivery windows
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and issue resolutions
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to communicate delays, route changes, or delivery exceptions
- Maintain clean driving record and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Columbus metro area and Ohio highway systems
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
- Basic computer literacy for digital logs and delivery tracking systems
- Flexible schedule availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
