Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients and resolve delivery exceptions
- Adhere to all federal/state safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and East Coast logistics
- Pass background check and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
