Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across San Jose and California
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with California highway systems and local routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
