Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in Kentucky and Illinois
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Manage delivery documentation, including bills of lading and proof of delivery
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining fuel efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual transmission
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Basic computer literacy for using electronic logging devices
