Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
- Safely load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring freight is secured and protected.
- Deliver freight to designated customer locations on time, adhering to specific route and delivery instructions.
- Maintain accurate logs (electronic or paper) and all required documentation, including delivery receipts and bills of lading.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling inquiries and resolving delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and maintained in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or Class B) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication purposes.
