Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for weekend delivery routes across San Diego County
- Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery performance
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Document delivery status and handle any discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of San Diego geography and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Basic computer skills for route navigation and documentation
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun, 6 AM - 6 PM)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
