Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on all types of roadways.
- Load and unload cargo using proper techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery receipts, and delivery paperwork (E-Logs).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean Record: Valid DOT medical card and a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Documentation: Must provide a valid Social Security card and proof of US citizenship or legal right to work.
- Skills: Proficient in operating standard and automated manual transmission trucks.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use handheld devices for navigation.
