Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork (BOLs, manifests).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations and log book compliance.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and scale tickets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
