Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks (Class A or B) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery paperwork and proof of delivery.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local and interstate traffic patterns in Florida and North Carolina.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD) and paperwork.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the terminal.
