Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated destinations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and delivery receipts in compliance with company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and local traffic regulations at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, reporting any mechanical issues to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid United States Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a dispatch team.
- Basic computer literacy for logging hours and checking delivery status.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.
