Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods across Chicago metro area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery using GPS technology
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch, clients, and team members in real-time
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Resolve delivery discrepancies with exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Chicago streets
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
