Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive Class A delivery trucks on assigned routes in and around Raleigh, NC.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all cargo is secure and undamaged.
- Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and delivery paperwork.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites and handle any issues with poise.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must possess a current and valid Commercial Driver's License.
- Driving Record: Clean MVR with no major violations or DUIs.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Experience: Must have a willingness to learn; no prior driving experience required if CDL is held.
- Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
