Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to transport freight to designated delivery points in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lifting equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing the load.
- Verify delivery paperwork, obtain customer signatures, and resolve any delivery discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized cab and cargo area, adhering to company housekeeping policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a logistics or delivery role.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM or 12 AM - 8 AM) and weekends.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and geography within Colorado Springs.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging HOS (Hours of Service) and paperwork.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid legal right to work in the United States.
