Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in and around the New Orleans metropolitan area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, FMCSA rules, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a current DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business demands.
