Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations within and around Memphis
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate delivery status and resolve route issues with dispatch team
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety protocols
- Assist in inventory management and documentation of deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Memphis metro area and surrounding regions
- DOT medical certification and Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
